A flight reservation (also known as an itinerary or booking) is a document containing detailed information about your flight, such as the flight name, departure and arrival times and dates, flight code, departure and arrival airport IATA codes, and the flight reservation number. It may also include a PNR number and images.
Passenger Name Record (PNR) is a unique six-digit number provided with every booked ticket, whether booked online or at a ticket counter.
Reservations can be valid for a few hours up to a maximum of 7 days, depending on the distance of the flight and the airline. For example, if you book a flight for tomorrow, the airline can give you a valid ticket, but the reservation will be closed after a few hours or the next day due to the airline's interests. They close the reservation in order to be able to sell the latest flight tickets before boarding the flight. We try to keep reservations valid for as long as possible, so we recommend not taking tickets for upcoming dates (at least 10 days later) to reduce the service life of the reservation.
You can check the PNR number on CheckMyTrip. Sometimes the airline company adds a second PNR number for the intern organization. The second PNR will be displayed on Checkmytrip. Some airline companies also offer the possibility to check the PNR on their website.
